"Make and/or Manage Your Own Website"
Some years ago at the request of several clients we created the Make and/or Manage Your Own Website 2-Day Workshop.
This hugely popular course is for non-technical people who want to make regular changes to their websites.
You will create, from scratch, a new website (or work on your current site) and have it live on the web and any changes made by Friday at 4.30pm!
Over two consecutive days attendees learn how to create and/or edit their company's (or their own) website. Some of the topics covered are:
- The fundamentals of a website, correct design and function.
- Getting top ranking in Google and other Search Engines.
- The four steps of website creation: Domain Registration, Web Designing, Web Hosting and Site Promotion.
- Using a website editor (We use Expression Web in the class but also cover Dreamweaver and others ).
- Editing and using images
- Search Engine Optimisation
- Website Visitor Tracking
- Attendees' own website issues
- Attendees' own website editing
This course covers both Mac and PC. A novel feature of the workshop is that each attendee can create their own live website during the 2 days.
